Nurse’s appointment (endoscopy consultation)

Look for appointment times

The gastroenterology nurse’s appointment is for patients who are about to undergo a gastroscopy or colonoscopy examination.

  • Gastroscopy, which is an examination of the stomach and duodenum, it is possible to get an overview of the condition of the stomach and duodenum and perform various treatment procedures in this area.
  • A colonoscopy is an examination of the lower part of the gastrointestinal tract that allows the colon to be examined in full using a flexible optical instrument (endoscope).

During the appointment, the nurse introduces the patient to the course of the examination, gives the patient recommendations on how to prepare for the examination at home, explains how the patient receives results after the examination and answers any questions the patient has.
