Look for appointment timesAt Confido dental clinics, we use modern equipment and innovative solutions for the removal of dental deposits, ensuring an effective, gentle, and as painless and comfortable procedure for the patient as possible.
Daily home oral care does not guarantee complete cleanliness of the mouth. Some harder to reach areas, such as the back surfaces of the last molars or the tongue side surfaces of the lower front teeth, may remain not clean thoroughly. Dental plaque can form in these areas, and if it is not removed, it may lead to various oral and gum diseases.
At Confido, we believe that professional dental cleaning should be provided as a comprehensive preventive service. Therefore, the service consists of two stages:
- removal of dental calculus using an ultrasonic scaler,
- air polishing, during which the teeth are cleaned with a mixture of water and cleaning powder.
After the procedure, the mouth is thoroughly clean, and the teeth are smoother, brighter, and whiter. In addition, patients receive recommendations for daily oral hygiene and home care during the appointment.
If a more serious issue is identified during the appointment, the specialist will refer the patient to a periodontist. Periodontist consultations are offered only at our Tallinn dental clinic.
After the procedure, we recommend replacing the head of your electric toothbrush or purchasing a new toothbrush. Dentists recommend having professional cleaning up to twice a year, or more frequently if needed.
Contraindications:
- Contagious upper respiratory infections (e.g., flu, COVID-19, etc.)
- Cold sores (herpes on the lips)
If the procedure is performed by a dentist or a trainee dentist, it is also possible to have the overall condition of your teeth examined. If needed, you may request local anesthesia before the procedure. Please note that all additional services must be paid for separately at the clinic after the appointment.
We accept patients from the age of 16. The dental hygienist Külli Homenja at Confido Tartu Dental Clinic accepts patients from the age of 14.
