An orthodontist is a doctor who specialises in correcting the shape of the dental arches and adjusting the position of the teeth. The doctor deals with both braces and aligners.

At Confido, we offer a comprehensive initial consultation service. The orthodontist will examine your teeth alignment, assess your bite and review the overall health of your oral cavity. Before planning orthodontic treatment, the specialist will review your general health history. Based on this information, the orthodontist will determine whether any preliminary procedures are necessary. These may include professional teeth cleaning or cavity treatment.

Please note that the doctor does not create a treatment plan during the first consultation, but they will provide you with information about treatment options and an estimated cost.

We are kindly informing you that Confido orthodontists only continue treatment started in our dental clinics. Therefore, we do not provide first aid and do not continue treatment started in clinic elsewhere. 

Is treatment necessary after the consultation?

If the first consultation takes place before the age of 7 or 8, the child may not need orthodontic treatment. However, it is important to remember that as the child grows and develops, their teeth will continue to shift. Our orthodontist will provide a schedule for possible follow-up appointments to help maintain and improve your child’s dental health. If you are an adult or teenager seeking an orthodontic consultation, it is more likely that you have noticed changes in your smile or your dentist may have referred you. In this case, the orthodontist will invite you back for a follow-up appointment to conduct diagnostics and create a treatment plan.
