Prosthesis consultation
Look for appointment timesMissing or damaged teeth can have a significant impact on the health and appearance of our mouth. A healthy and beautiful smile is essential for our overall well-being and confidence.
Prosthetics is a treatment that can replace all of your teeth. The custom-made artificial tooth construction is designed to replace single missing teeth or a whole row of teeth. Dental prosthetics are divided into removable, fixed and combined dentures.
Prosthetics is a rapidly growing field, and along with the modern treatment methods used, this makes the restoration procedure both effective and comfortable. Prosthesis is not a painful procedure. If anaesthesia is necessary, it will be done before the procedure.
During the prosthesis consultation, the dentist will check the patient’s oral cavity, gums and teeth, discuss the options for protheses and prepare a treatment plan together with the patient. Usually, the consultation is accompanied by X-ray scans (small X-rays and panoramic X-rays as well comprehensive computed tomography scans can be performed). A digital impression of the teeth is also taken, which is then used to make a suitable prosthesis for the patient. Any further examinations are subject to an additional fee.
You will need to get used to the prosthetics. After the procedure, you will feel some discomfort in your mouth, speech may be altered and chewing food may be difficult. Dentists recommend following good dental hygiene daily: brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing in the evenings. By doing this, you can ensure that your prosthetics remain functional for a long time.
It is very important to have your prosthetics professionally cleaned and have your teeth checked at least twice a year to prevent any other dental problems. Various deposits such as plaque and tartar can build up on prosthetics. Pigments from coffee, tea or red wine can also stain them. At Confido, prosthetics can be professionally cleaned without any damage to them. Removable dentures should be cleaned daily with special products recommended by your dentist.
