Healing wounds with laser therapy

Look for appointment times

Laser biomodulation, i.e. wound laser therapy, is specially made for improving post-operative wounds. Biomodulation accelerates wound healing and promotes the healing process of various types of skin damage. It also eases inflammation that usually occurs after surgery. Laser therapy helps reduce pain and reduces physical trauma.

Laser biomodulation shortens the recovery time after surgery significantly and is excellent for treating chronic wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, burns, cuts, etc. The procedure is painless and safe. According to clinical studies, laser-treated wounds heal up to twice as fast and complications are unlikely.

Indications:

  • chronic wounds
  • venous leg ulcers
  • diabetic foot syndrome
  • burns

How does the procedure work?

Laser therapy is painless and non-invasive. The patient lies down, then the wound is cleaned and dried. The patient gets special goggles to protect their eyes. Laser therapy targets the cell’s mitochondria, helps regenerate skin cells and generates energy to heal the wound. This procedure also restores soft tissue and stimulates skin cells.

The procedure is done 3 times a week and up to 10 times in total.

What to take into consideration before and after the procedure?

This procedure does not require any special preparation from the patient. The patient can simply come to the procedure.

There are no restrictions on the patient after the procedure and they can continue their daily activities as usual.
