Look for appointment timesA mammologist specializes in breast diseases and the examination of breasts, as well as the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of benign or malignant breast pathologies. The following individuals are welcome to the appointment:
Women previously diagnosed with a high risk of developing breast cancer due to genetic mutations (such as BRCA1, BRCA2, etc.)
Women experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Dense lumps, nodules, or thickened areas
- Pain
- Recent changes in breast size
- Changes in the skin around the nipple
- Skin changes in the breast area
- Redness or ulceration of the breast
- Nipple discharge
Patients referred by the breast clinic whose test results require further evaluation by a mammologist are also welcome to the appointment.
Patients with suspected cancer or a previous diagnosis are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a mammologist-oncologist. For all other inquiries regarding breast health, please consult a mammologist.
