SARS coronavirus antibodies rapid test (IgG and IgM)
See available time slotsHow does it work?
A rapid test for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies can be used to assess whether a patient has been infected with a new coronavirus at some point. If there is a positive result (especially IgG antibodies), the patient has likely been infected with a new coronavirus at some point, but is no longer ill or at risk of being infectious.
NB! The rapid test only assesses the presence of IgM and IgG-type antibodies, but not their numbers. If a certificate of the presence of antibodies is required, we recommend a quantitative analysis of antibodies in venous blood (price 24 €). The advantage of a rapid test is a lower cost and faster results, but if antibodies are found, no promise can be made about the duration of immunity against the disease.
What does it show?
A positive result indicates the presence of COVID-19 infection, late-stage infection or the presence of antibodies resulting from vaccination.
Why to do this test?
If you want to know if you have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. We recommend a rapid antibody test if you have had no symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks.
How is the sample taken?
A blood sample is taken from your finger. Rapid antibody testing is less sensitive for detecting antibodies than venous blood testing.
How soon will I get results?
Within 10-15 minutes.
Suitable for travel?
No.
Where can I do the test?
In all Confido clinics.
