Microneedling stimulates collagen production and supports the skin’s natural regenerative processes. During the procedure, a device equipped with microscopic needles (dermapen) creates controlled microchannels in the skin. This controlled microtrauma activates the skin’s wound-healing response and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, helping to improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity.

Microneedling treatment helps tighten and rejuvenate the skin, reduce superficial wrinkles and pigmentation irregularities, and make acne scars and stretch marks less visible. The procedure also enhances the transdermal absorption of active ingredients, vitamins, and therapeutic solutions. Clinical studies have demonstrated that microneedling can increase serum penetration by up to 1000 times.

For enhanced results, we combine microneedling with chemical peeling. Chemical exfoliation helps remove superficial dead skin cells and improve skin tone and texture, while microneedling stimulates tissue regeneration and collagen production. The combined treatment supports overall improvement in skin quality.

To further enhance treatment outcomes and support skin recovery, microneedling and chemical peeling may also be combined with light therapy. Which types of scars are suitable for microneedling?

Microneedling is primarily indicated for atrophic acne scars, especially softer rolling scars and shallow depressed scars. In cases of very deep and narrow “ice pick” scars, combined treatment approaches are generally preferred, included laser theraphy.

For stretch marks, microneedling is suitable for both newer red or violaceous stretch marks (striae rubrae) and older pale stretch marks (striae albae). Moderately deep stretch marks, areas with good regenerative capacity, and scars that are not excessively wide or severely atrophic typically respond best to treatment. In older white stretch marks, the primary goal is usually significant improvement of skin texture and softening of the scars’ appearance rather than complete removal.

How to prepare for the procedure?

Do not sunbathe or visit a tanning salon for two weeks prior to the procedure.
Come to the procedure without make-up if possible.
Two weeks must have elapsed since the injections and other procedures in treated area.

What to take into consideration after the procedure?

For the first couple of days, there may be some redness and skin irritation, scaly skin, itching, mild swelling and/or slight bruising in the affected area.
Make-up products should not be used for at least 12 hours after the procedure.
Do not touch the treated area for at least a couple of hours.
The skin cannot come into contact with water for 5 hours after the procedure.
Alcohol should not be consumed for at least 1 day after the procedure.
You should not exercise for at least 1 day after the procedure.
Saunas and hot baths should be avoided for at least 2 days.
Do not sunbathe or visit a tanning salon for 2 weeks.
Suncream must be applied for at least the next 7 days.

Microneedling can easily be tolerated and is suitable for everyone (men and women), as it improves skin tone and elasticity. Additionally, microneedling procedures are used to treat scars. We recommend consulting our specialist before the procedure regarding the suitability of the procedure, possible results and the possibility of combining procedures. If it is not possible to perform the booked procedure due to the client’s reasons, the client will be responsible for the consultation fee.

The results of the procedure is usually visible after a couple of weeks, when the resynthesis of collagen and elastin fibres has occurred. To achieve the optimal result, we recommend that you undergo microneedling treatment comprised of one to eight sessions, whereby you attend a procedure about every 4 weeks. We recommend that you undergo treatment twice a year.
