At the general surgeon’s appointment, the patient will be thoroughly examined, the results of previous investigations will be reviewed, the need for further investigations (computed tomography, ultrasound, endoscopy) will be assessed and a plan will be made for further treatment. Minor surgical procedures can be performed during the same appointment.
