Look for appointment timesA dental hygienist deals with the prevention of oral and dental diseases through teeth cleaning.
All children who wish to receive guidance and motivation in taking care of their oral hygiene are welcome to book an appointment. It is also important for young patients who are about to begin or are already undergoing dental or orthodontic treatment to visit a dental hygienist.
An appointment with a dental hygienist includes:
- Teeth cleaning
- Recommendations for a more tooth-friendly diet
- Oral hygiene care instructions
- Instructions on using a toothbrush
You can come to the appointment on your own or be referred by a specialist working at our dental clinic. Usually, a referral is necessary before dental or orthodontic treatment begins.
Please note that the dental hygienist does not provide information about the state of a child’s dental health. Oral examinations, including the detection of tooth decay, are conducted by a dentist. Dentists recommend preventive dental check-ups twice a year.
Patients up to the age of 16 are welcome to see a dental hygienist.
Please come to the appointment if you are sure that your child does not have any respiratory illnesses. Otherwise, the visit may be unsuccessful.
