Evelin Takkel graduated from Tallinn Health Care College with a degree in nursing in 2001. After that, she worked as a nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the North Estonia Medical Centre Foundation for 10 years. In the summer of 2011, the opportunity arose to move to Norway, where she lived and worked for eight years. While living in Norway, she qualified as a specialist in cosmetology/dermatology and aesthetic medicine for nurses.
