Heart health assessment PLUS-package

An extended heart health check-up examines risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, abdominal and pelvic organs, and heart performance during exercise and provides a personalised recommended action plan to prevent heart disease. This in-depth risk assessment is recommended for people who are interested in their heart health and want to have a health evaluation.

At Confido, heart disease risk assessments are conducted by experienced cardiologist and heart health specialist Professor Margus Viigimaa. The team also includes cardiologists Dr Sirje Masik, Dr Tiina Uuetoa or Dr Hasso Uuetoa.

What does the package consist of?

Blood testing

Analysing 16 (17 for men) key indicators, including haemoglobin and cholesterol, allows for an assessment of general health and disease risk, such as heart health, kidney, liver, prostate (in men), thyroid and other organ function.

Blood test: Lipoprotein a, CRP, Potassium, Haemogram, Creatinine, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, ALAT Alanine aminotransferase, ASAT Aspartate aminotransferase, Sodium, HbA1c Glycohaemoglobin, TSH Thyrotropin, Vitamin D (25-OH), Uric acid, PSA (males)

Examination of abdominal and pelvic organs

Ultrasound of organs in the abdominal cavity and pelvic area assesses the structure of the organs as well as observes and monitors their shape, size and build. The examination also detects abnormalities and diseases in these organs.

Cardiac function

Electrocardiography, or ECG, is a painless examination that assesses heart rhythm and detects blood supply disorders (myocardial ischaemia), previous heart attacks, and cardiac chamber overload or enlargement.

Cardiac stress test

This examination monitors heart activity, blood pressure changes during exercise, and the speed of recovery afterwards. It assesses the body’s exercise tolerance, cardiac function, and overall muscular performance.

Artery and heart disease risk assessment

Professor Viigimaa painlessly assesses the condition of your arteries, determines whether you are at risk of heart disease, and diagnoses atherosclerosis and its severity early. The arteries are not probed during this examination.

Professor Viigimaa’s assessment of heart health

Professor Viigimaa, a cardiac doctor, reviews all your test and examination results and forms a comprehensive overview of your health.

Professor Viigimaa’s personal consultation and summary

During the consultation, you will receive an in-depth summary of your heart examination results and recommendations on how to improve your physical activity and lifestyle to prevent cardiovascular diseases. If a more serious heart disease is suspected, we will refer you for further tests if necessary.
