Treatment with a dentist

At Confido, dentists treat cavities. Dentists recommend starting treatment as soon as the problem arises. If a cavity isn’t repaired immediately, it can cause a lot of pain and infection later on, which can harm your entire body. Please note that our dental clinics do not have a valid Health Insurance contract for adult dental care.

The signs of cavities are:

The formation of a chalky-white spot on the surface of tooth enamel
Slight soreness of the teeth when eating sweet, sour or salty foods
Sudden pain on contact with cold or hot food
Food debris accumulating in the cavity
Darkening of the gums
A tooth has broken or a piece has come off of it

To repair cavities, the dentist will remove the damaged tooth tissue and clean the area. The dentist will then fill the cleaned cavity with filling material. This helps strengthen the tooth and prevents decay.

The need for further treatment is decided by your doctor. Your doctor may warn you about tooth sensitivity immediately after treatment. You may also be called back for a check-up in the case of a deep filling, or referred to another specialist.

To prevent cavities, dentists recommend brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing in the evenings. If you have large gaps between your teeth, your doctor may recommend using a water flosser or interdental brushes. It is important to have a healthy diet and avoid sugary foods and drinks. It is recommended to have regular preventative check-ups twice a year.

Consultations and caries treatment services are also performed by trainee dentists for both children and adults in Tartu Confido Dental clinic. A trainee dentist is a 5th and final year student who has acquired the necessary clinical work experience to provide patients with good quality dental care. Trainee dentist is supervised every day by a dentist in the clinic. Consultation and caries treatment services by a trainee dentist are 20% cheaper from a full price.
