Biostimulation with Sculptra® is an injectable procedure that helps restore the skin’s natural volume, reduce wrinkles, increase elasticity, and improve facial contours by activating the body’s own ability to produce collagen. The results develop gradually, providing a long-lasting, refreshed, and more youthful appearance without an unnatural or overfilled look.

It is suitable for individuals who wish to:

The procedure is suitable for both women and men of various age groups starting from around 30 years old, to restore volume or density losses in the midface, cheeks, and jawline or to prevent signs of ageing. It is generally recommended to undergo 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results typically last up to 2 years, depending on individual characteristics and maintenance intervals.

How does Sculptra® work?

Sculptra® is a medically recognized biostimulator made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). The product is injected into the deeper layers of the skin, where it enhances fibroblast activity and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. New collagen formation occurs gradually over 3-6 months, increasing skin density, improving structure, and reducing laxity.

Contraindications:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Infectious and viral diseases, including active herpes
  • Inflammatory skin conditions
  • Oncological and autoimmune diseases
  • Bleeding disorders and anticoagulant therapy
  • Tendency to develop keloids
  • Allergy to any components of the product (confirm with a specialist)

Contraindications may be relative, and the final decision regarding the procedure is made by the specialist during personal consultation and examination.

How to prepare for the procedure?

• Consult a specialist in advance regarding suitability, expected outcomes, and combination with other treatments
  • Allow at least 2 weeks between this procedure and other treatments in the same area, as well as vaccinations
  • Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 1 day before the procedure
  • Inform the specialist of any medications you are taking. If possible, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements containing fish oil or vitamin E for about 3 days prior (including Aspirin, Hjertemagnyl)
  • Have a light meal before the injection procedure to prevent dizziness or faintness caused by low blood sugar or anxiety

What to expect after the procedure?

• Swelling, redness, and tenderness may occur after injections and usually resolve within a few days
  • Massage the treated area for 5 days, 5 times a day, for 5 minutes each time. This ensures even distribution of the product and optimal collagen stimulation
  • Do not apply makeup for at least 12 hours
  • Avoid touching the treated area for a few hours to reduce infection risk
  • Avoid intense physical activity for 1 day
  • Avoid saunas and hot baths for at least 2 days
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and solarium use until swelling has subsided
  • Leave at least a 2-week interval between this and other procedures in the same area or vaccinations
  • Results will appear gradually over several months.
