Breast reduction
Look for appointment timesBreast reduction surgery, also known as mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure aimed at reducing excessively large and heavy breasts and improving their shape and proportion with the body.
Excessive breast size can cause several issues, including back and neck pain, posture problems, skin infections, discomfort, and a feeling of heaviness. During the breast reduction surgery, a portion of breast tissue, fatty tissue, and excess skin is removed. The breasts are then reshaped and lifted to achieve a better contour and position.
The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and can last several hours, depending on the size of the breasts and individual circumstances. After the surgery, the patient is required to wear a specialized supportive bra to provide support to the breasts and aid in healing. The recovery period can vary, but typically the patient needs to avoid physical exertion and heavy lifting for several weeks. The final result becomes evident over several months as the healing progresses.
Prior to breast reduction surgery, it is important to consult with our experienced doctor, who can assess the patient’s goals, recommendations, and individual characteristics and provide information about the procedure.
