Liver function test package x Digital Clinic
Look for appointment timesThe main risk factors for liver diseases are alcohol, obesity and viral hepatitis. A range of symptoms may indicate liver problems, such as yellowing of the skin (jaundice), loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhoea, unexplained weight gain or weight loss, abdominal pain, dark urine and pale stools. If you experience any of these symptoms or take medications that may harm liver health, we recommend coming in for a check-up. Our general practitioners can provide assistance in interpreting the analysis results.
The package includes:
- Measurement of blood pressure, weight, height, waist circumference, and AUDIT test
- Alanine aminotransferase (ALT)
- Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT)
- Alkaline phosphatase (ALP)
- Bilirubin
- Hepatitis B virus nuclear antigen antibodies
- Hepatitis C virus antibodies
- Remote consultation with a doctor for interpreting test results
On the day before blood sampling, you can eat and drink as usual, but the consumption of alcohol, coffee and fatty foods should be limited. Do not eat or drink 10 to 14 hours before giving a blood sample. If necessary, you can drink one glass of clean, unflavoured, non-carbonated water during this time.
