Women’s Health Package with a Gynecologist Appointment

Women’s health packages (under 40 and 40+) provide an initial overview of a woman’s current health status. The packages are created taking into account different stages of a woman’s life and needs. These may include sexual health and use of contraceptives, reproductive health, detection and prevention of key health indicators and risks (cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypo- or hyperfunction of the thyroid gland, cervical cancer, breast cancer, etc.), or times when a woman needs support related to hormonal changes to maintain her health and quality of life.

At the gynecologist’s and general practitioner’s appointment, the results of analyses and examinations are assessed, individual recommendations are given for maintaining or improving health, and, if necessary, referral is made for additional examinations.

The packages include:

Appointment with a nurse

Measurement of blood pressure, weight, height, waist circumference, body mass index BMI, AUDIT test (test for assessing alcohol consumption)

Analyses

Hemogram with 5-part leukogram
  • Provides an overview of the blood’s oxygen transport capacity.
  • Allows assessment of the body’s defense against pathogens.
  • Helps assess the presence of many diseases – e.g. anemia, infectious diseases, inflammations, bleeding disorders, hematological diseases, etc.
  • Allows indirect assessment of fluid balance in the body.
Glycated hemoglobin HbA1c
  • Helps assess the increased risk of developing diabetes.
C-reactive protein (high sensitivity) CRP
  • Allows detection of inflammations in the body.
  • Helps assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Cholesterol
  • Helps assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
LDL cholesterol
  • Together with cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, allows assessment of lipid metabolism, “bad cholesterol”.
  • Helps assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
HDL cholesterol
  • Together with cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, allows assessment of lipid metabolism, “good cholesterol”.
  • Helps assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT)
  • For detection of liver diseases and monitoring of treatment.
Alanine aminotransferase (ALAT)
  • Allows assessment of the condition of liver cells.
Creatinine (eGFR)
  • Helps assess the kidneys’ ability to remove waste from the body.
  • Indicates physical activity level of a person.
Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)
  • Allows assessment of thyroid function.
Follicle-stimulating hormone (S-FSH) – included in the 40+ package
  • FSH is recommended for diagnosing the cause of infertility. The analysis also helps assess menstrual cycle disorders.
Ferritin
  • Shows iron reserves in the body.
  • Helps assess anemia.
  • Helps assess possible causes of excessive fatigue.
Vitamin B12
  • Necessary for normal functioning of the nervous system and cell renewal.
  • Helps assess the presence and cause of anemia.
  • Balances processes in the body under stress.
  • Participates in removal of homocysteine from cells, protecting blood vessels.
Vitamin D (25-OH)
  • Necessary for calcium absorption and for ensuring strong bones and teeth.
  • Important for muscle work and coordination.
  • Necessary for the functioning of the immune system.
Triglycerides
  • Together with cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, allow assessment of lipid metabolism.
  • Helps assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases; elevated level is an important risk factor.
HPV
  • Helps assess the increased risk of cervical cancer.
PAP
  • Used for early detection of cervical cancer and precancerous conditions.

ECG (in the 40+ package)

ECG helps assess heart rhythm and heart rate, myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction (acute or past), overload and enlargement of heart chambers.

Breast examination and instruction for self-check

Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women. Although frequent, it can be easily detected and treated at early stages. The gynecologist teaches how and how often to check the breasts and what to observe.

Gynecologist’s appointment (HPV and PAP test)

During the examination, possible changes on the genitals and mucosa are checked, and the cervix is examined. HPV test and PAP test are performed. If necessary, colposcopy is recommended.
NB! Come for the health check before or after menstruation so the doctor can perform PAP and HPV tests.

Ultrasound examination

Helps assess structures of the pelvic floor, vagina, cervix, uterus, uterine cavity, adnexa, and pelvic region, and detect abnormalities. Important for assessing the endometrium and determining treatment if needed.

Counseling on hormonal changes and menopause (in the 40+ package)

The gynecologist gives advice on relieving symptoms of menopause and recommendations for supportive treatment for menopause.

General practitioner’s consultation in DigiClinic (general health summary)

Remote consultation where the GP explains analyses related to general health and gives practical advice for maintaining health and improving lifestyle.

On the day before blood sampling, you may eat and drink as usual, but limit alcohol, coffee, and fatty foods. For 10–14 hours before blood sampling, do not eat or drink (except plain water).

NB! The package and services can be used within 12 months from the date of the first booking. Money is not refunded for an incomplete package and services are not exchanged.
