Anaemia test package x Digital Clinic
Look for appointment timesAnaemia is a condition that may be indicated by constant fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat. Anaemia can occur due to factors such as iron deficiency, B12 vitamin or folic acid deficiency, chronic diseases or hereditary predisposition.
The anaemia test package provides an overview of haemoglobin and red blood cell levels, iron, B12 vitamin and folate levels in the blood to detect anaemia or its preceding conditions.
The package includes:
- Measurement of blood pressure, weight, and height
- Complete blood count with five-part differential leukocyte (white blood cell) count
- Reticulocytes
- Soluble transferrin receptors
- Ferritin
- Vitamin B12 active form
- Folate
- Remote consultation with a doctor for interpreting test results
On the day before blood sampling, you can eat and drink as usual, but the consumption of alcohol, coffee and fatty foods should be limited. Do not eat or drink 10 to 14 hours before giving a blood sample. If necessary, you can drink one glass of clean, unflavoured, non-carbonated water during this time.
