Balance group
This service is intended for Health Insurance Fund patients and requires a prior appointment with a physiotherapist.
Group training is intended for people whose goal is to maintain or improve their balance, muscle strength and confidence in everyday activities. Regular participation reduces the risk of falls, strengthens the muscles and improves posture and coordination. The training takes place in a safe and supervised environment and is suitable for those with a history of falls or muscle weakness.
The training uses a variety of tools to support the development of balance and coordination.
The training consists of four parts:
- Warm-up – light movement and preparation of joints for training
- Strength training – focusing on deep muscles, legs and core muscles
- Balance and coordination exercises – developing static and dynamic balance and posture control
- Stretching – to relax muscles and maintain mobility
The purpose of the training is to:
