Look for appointment timesHepatitis A is liver inflammation caused by the highly contagious hepatitis A virus. Infection occurs through consumption of food, water, objects and hands contaminated with the virus or through close contact with an infected person. The most common symptoms include fever, abdominal discomfort, muscle aches, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and yellowing of the skin, mucous membranes and whites of the eyes.
Hepatitis B is a viral infectious disease that causes liver damage and is transmitted through contact with infected blood (including donor blood), sharing needles during drug injection, tattooing, microtraumas of the skin and mucous membranes, using contaminated household items, sexual contact and from an infected mother to her foetus/newborn. Symptoms of the disease may include fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, abdominal pain, bloating, tenderness or pain in the liver area, nausea, vomiting, joint pain and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes).
The standard primary vaccination schedule consists of three injections over the course of six months. Protection against hepatitis A and hepatitis B develops within two to four weeks.
All vaccinations done at Confido are recorded in your vaccination passport, which we ask you to take with you when you come to get vaccinated.
If necessary, we will issue a new vaccination passport for an additional fee (€10).
