Dr Kairit Joost has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu (1992). She has also completed a masters degree in medical genetics (2004) a received a PhD in neurosciences (2012). Kairit believes in continous professional development and frequently takes part in international conferences and seminars that focus on diagnostics of hereditary conditions, genetic consultations, and the most current laboratory methods. She also regularly reads the most recent research in clinical genetics. The doctor is part of Estonian Medical Association and the International Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism. Dr Joost truly believes in a very personalised approach to each patient. She is certain that that each patient needs to receive the best available care, even if there is no specific treatment available for his/her disorder.
