Dr Inga Aavik graduated from the University of Tartu medical department (1994) and underwent a general residency (1996) and an obstetrics and gynaecology residency (1999). Dr Aavik has been working as a gynaecologist for over 20 years, being most passionate about gynaecology and solving gynaecological problems from puberty to menopause. She considers it especially important to maintain women’s health and prevent illness. She has been monitoring and treating the cervix and performing colposcopies for over 10 years. She is one of the first doctors in Estonia who started performing ambulatory hysteroscopic procedures and is happy to share her knowledge in this field with colleagues. She is a member of the Estonian Gynaecologists’ Society, the Finnish Society of Gynaecological Surgery and the European Federation for Colposcopy and is a board member of the Estonian Society of Colposcopy.
