Hele Everaus graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu in 1977. In 1984, she defended her candidate’s thesis, and in 1993, her doctoral dissertation — both research works introduced new approaches to understanding blood diseases and developing novel treatment options. She has worked in the field of hematology and oncology throughout her career.
