Dr Klari Heidmets is a paediatric neurologist and a recognised specialist in her field. She completed her residency in paediatrics, with a subspecialty in paediatric neurology, at the University of Tartu Faculty of Medicine in 2015, having previously obtained her doctoral degree in 2014.

Dr Heidmets diagnoses, treats and monitors a wide range of neurological conditions and symptoms in children and adolescents. Her particular areas of interest are sleep disorders and epilepsy, but patients may also consult her regarding headaches, movement disorders, concerns about a child’s neurological development and other neurological symptoms.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Heidmets is involved in teaching future doctors and conducting research at the University of Tartu. She is a founding member of the Estonian Society of Paediatric Neurologists. In her work, she values an evidence-based approach, a comprehensive assessment of the child, and ensuring that parents receive a clear and understandable overview of their child’s condition and the options for further care.
