Payment for services

Confido Medical Center offers several options for payment for its services. As a flexible payment solution,  Inbank's hire-purchase and LHV's health and beauty loan services can be used.

Paying for an appointment

Information about payment for reception
  • If you book an appointment via the Confido self-service environment, you will be asked to pay for the appointment by online bank transfer or credit card.
  • If you book an appointment by phone or e-mail, we will send you a payment link to the e-mail address you provided. If your visit is less than 14 days away, the prepayment must be made within 4 hours. If there are more than 14 days until your visit, the prepayment must be made 14 days before the visit.
  • Payment of the prepayment by the deadline guarantees the final confirmation of your booking.
  • A confirmed booking can be changed or cancelled 24 hours before the appointment and the system will automatically refund the advance payment.

The price of the service does not include additional services, including analyses, tests and procedures recommended by a specialist, which are not listed as part of the service in the service description. We will ask you to pay for these separately.

Upon visiting Confido for an appointment paid for by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, you must pay an appointment fee. From 1 April 2025, the Health Insurance Fund appointment fee is €20.

An appointment fee of €5 applies to an insured person who is:

  • under 19 years old;
  • pregnant (unless outpatient medical care is provided in relation to pregnancy or childbirth);
  • a mother of a child under one year old;
  • over 63 years old;
  • a recipient of a pension for incapacity for work or old-age pension under the State Pension Insurance Act;
  • identified as having partial or no work ability under the Work Ability Allowance Act;
  • unemployed within the meaning of the Labour Market Measures Act;
  • a recipient of a subsistence benefit under the Social Welfare Act or a member of their family if the person or their family has been paid a subsistence benefit in the month of the provision of outpatient specialist medical care or in the two months preceding it.

There is no appointment fee in the following cases:

  • for emergency outpatient specialist care if it is immediately followed by treatment at the inpatient department
  • if out-patient treatment is provided in connection with pregnancy or childbirth
  • if the patient is referred to another doctor or a specialist equivalent to a healthcare professional within Confido
  • if the patient is referred to another doctor specialising in the same field (including to another healthcare institution)
  • again within 365 days if the doctor or specialist equivalent to a healthcare professional leaves the patient under their monitoring or treatment
  • for cervical cancer screenings for all insured and uninsured women who are in the target group for the screening.

A referral is required to book an appointment for any of the specialities covered under the Estonian Health Insurance Fund contract (except for gynaecology, gynaecological prevention, dermatovenereology, and dental care for children).

Please note that if you start your treatment in Confido at a paid appointment, all subsequent treatment services and examinations will also be subject to a fee. This also applies if you use a referral letter issued by Confido for a paid appointment at another healthcare institution, including public hospitals. In this case, the examination performed on the basis of the referral letter will also be subject to a fee, and Confido will send an invoice for the examination performed. If you wish to undergo an examination financed by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, you must first have an appointment with a specialist or family doctor financed by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
