Adelheid Päi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 2022. Since graduating, she has worked in both Estonia and Finland, gaining diverse experience with different patient groups and across various fields of medicine.
Dr Päi has worked in a psychiatric clinic, health centres, an emergency department, occupational health and school healthcare, among other settings. Her experience includes the diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions, patient counselling and minor surgical procedures. Her diverse professional background has given her a broad perspective and a readiness to approach new challenges with openness and curiosity.
For Dr Päi, a patient-centred approach is at the heart of good medical care. She considers it important that patients understand their health condition and available treatment options and are actively involved in decisions concerning their care. She also values a non-judgmental attitude and an evidence-based approach – everyone deserves to be heard, treated with respect and provided with high-quality medical care.
Dr Päi believes that a good doctor-patient relationship is built on trust, open communication and collaboration. Her goal is to help each patient find a solution that is both suitable and sensible for them.
