Liability insurance
If an insured event within the meaning of the Compulsory Liability Insurance of Health Care Providers Act has occurred in the course of the provision of healthcare services, the patient or any other person entitled under the law may claim compensation directly from Confido’s liability insurance partner.
Insured event is a breach of an obligation by a health care provider if the provision of health care services has caused bodily injury, harm to health or death of a patient and the health care provider is liable for the resulting harm under the Law of Obligations Act and the harm is the result of the circumstances set out in § 10 subsection (2) of the Compulsory Liability Insurance of Health Care Providers Act.
The insurance covers insured events occurring from 01.11.2024.

Sum insured for non-pecuniary harm per entitled person: 30 000 €
*Compensation for non-pecuniary harm is included in the sum insured as set out above.
Report of damage
To submit a claim for damages, please log in to the PZU self-service portal and complete the damage report form. In the report form, select “Medical malpractice” under the “Product field” and continue filling out the form by clicking “Forward”. After the form has been submitted, the insurer will get in touch with you.
It is also possible to report by sending an email to lahendus@pzu.ee .
If a patient or other entitled person notifies Confido of an insured event, we will forward the notification to the insurer without delay, but no later than one week from the date of receipt of the notification.
