Mari-Liis Laanetu

Dr Mari-Liis Laanetu has graduated from the faculty of medicine at the University of Tartu (2005) and the residency of psychiatry (2009). Mari-Liis believes in the importance of life-long learning and therefore has taken part in further seminars and conferences in the field of memory disorders and mental problems among elderly. Additionally, she also has basic knowledge in cognitive behavioural therapy, family therapy and psychoanalytic therapy. Dr Laanetu’s main focus points are memory disorders, organic mental disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. As a psychiatrist, Dr Laanetu believes that individual differences need to be taken into account when assessing each patient. She also prioritises a trust between the doctor and the patient, as cooperation is the key to having the best outcomes.
