Mental health problems can significantly decrease quality of life, but they are mostly treatable. I value a thorough evidence-based evaluation before intervention to help me select the appropriate treatment methods. I think it's important for the client to understand what is causing their problems. It's often possible to significantly improve daily life and mood through changing behavioural patterns.
