See available time slots

This test is performed on patients who have symptoms of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) or who otherwise have reason to suspect acute infection (such as exposure to COVID-19 in the last two weeks).

This test can only be taken at Töökoja 1 in Tallinn.

For whom?

For children and adolescents up to 18 years of age to make coronavirus testing more convenient for them.

How testing works?

Patients are given 10 ml of saline (sodium chloride) to be gargled for provision of a sample. A healthcare official will pull some of the gargle liquid into a special vacuum tube and send it to a lab for testing (using the same method as with nasopharynx swabs). Especially with younger children, it is a good idea to try gargling at home with water before going to a coronavirus test.

How quickly are the results available?

The result will appear in the patient portal (Digilugu) within 24-48 hours after testing.

Can the results be used as a travel certificate?

Yes. If necessary, we can issue a certificate of the coronavirus test result (fee of €10).
